Horse and Groom Weathervane

American, 19th century
Length 26 inches

This rare horse and groom weathervane is one of only a small number of known examples. The composition, combining rider and mount in a single unified form, is both visually engaging and uncommon within American weathervane production.

Among the known examples, this stands as a particularly strong and well-preserved representation of the type.
