New York State, c. 1800-1820
Wood, iron, and tin with original paint
Height 25 inches, width 26.5 inches

This marvelous twelve-arm, two-tier chandelier boasts its original mustard-yellow painted surface and handsomely executed tin candle cups attached to graceful scrolling iron arms. It relates to a pair of sconces at the Winterthur Museum, Delaware. Rarely does such a remarkable early American chandelier come on the market.
